Have you ever wondered what it was like from the view of a bird?  Or what the inside of an acorn looked like?  More importantly, have your children?  Well, if you live in or near Atlanta, then wonder no more, as the Imagine It! Children’s Museum of Atlanta is currently featuring the Exploring Trees Inside and Out exhibit.  Now through September 13, 2009, you and your children can explore the sights, sounds and smells of a larger-than-life tree from the roots to the canopy. 

 

 

“At the numerous nature sensation stations throughout the exhibit, your children will use their senses to smell cinnamon, chocolate, cedar, fruits and flowers.  Together you can touch different bark textures, hear the water flowing through a leaf and learn about photosynthesis.  Helpful icons for each of the senses will help guide your children through this learning zone.”- Imagine It!

Of all the awesome museums in Atlanta, this is by far my family’s favorite.  With year-round exhibits and stations like Fundamentally Food, Crawl Space, Leaping into Learning and so much more, Imaginit Children’s Museum of Atlanta, located right next to the World of Coca-Cola Museum and the Georgia Aquarium, is not something you want to miss on a day in this city.
