Pink & Posh Featured in Utopia Green Magazine

Okay, so I found out something really great today, but it also came with some really disturbing news. A few months ago, when Pink & Posh was still on Blogger, I posted a video review of an awesome set of travel toys from Magnaplay. This vlog has now been featured in a story about Magnaplay on Utopia Green Magazine. (page 20) YAY US!
The only thing is, when one of our readers (who apparently missed the original review on Pink & Posh) saw this feature, she noticed something that I totally missed. Watch the video and see if you can tell what it is…
Yep, that’s right… Ema is not correctly buckled into her booster seat. (you can watch it again if you missed it like I did…lol) This particular car seat requires your regular car seat belt to intertwine through this seat OVER your child’s shoulder to allow a better (and safer) fit for your child. The only thing is that Ema had an awful habit of moving this belt under her arm so it didn’t rub her neck. I was constantly reminding her to put it back and I guess on this particular day, I missed this correction before taking the video. But don’t give me the bad mommy of the year award just yet, I do remember that immediately after this video was taken, we had to take a potty break. I guess being the star of a video blog made her so nervous, she had to pee. Once we returned to the car though, she was as always, properly re-buckled into her booster seat. Since this review, I have purchased a product similar to this Jolly Jumper Toddler Seat Buddy Neck Protector to keep her from being uncomfortable while we travel.
As bad as it looks, I am taking this opportunity to admit my mistake and to make you aware of a product to help you if you are experiencing the same booster seat problem as we had. And, of course, I hope I don’t need to tell you how important it is to make sure your child is safely secured in a qualified car seat for their particular age, weight and height. Please check out these sites to be sure you are following these safety guidelines for booster seats:
Even with the obvious mistake, we are still very grateful for our media exposure. Thanks again to Magnaplay & Utopia Green Magazine for this fantastic feature!
