Although many mothers today are taught and are aware of the benefits that breastfeeding has on their newborns, many are discharged from the hospital after giving birth with an array of formula samples. Contradictory? You betcha!
All that is slowly beginning to change, as over 200 hospitals have rebelled against the norm, and have taken the initiative to hand out the Healthy Baby Bounty Bag which contains product samples, coupons, and loads of information that supports and encourages breastfeeding, and breastfeeding alone. So what exactly do these “Healthy Baby Bounty Bags” consist of you ask? These incredible bags, which include product samples and resources from leading brands, including Lansinoh, Seventh Generation, Bravado Designs, My Breast Friend, Bebe Aulait, etc, would have any mom excited to leave the hospital clutching one of these incredible parting gifts!“Of the 7,569 hospitals in America , 200 have taken a stand for breastfeeding,” says Gina Ciagne, lead blogger on ByMomsForMoms.net and Director, Breastfeeding and Consumer Relations for Lansinoh Laboratories, Inc. “This is just a baby step.
