The busy people, the lights, the noise, the excitement in the air. This is NYC. This is Broadway!
I’ve lived in New York all my life, for thirty years, yet every time I land in Times Square I get this burst of energy and amazement as if it were the first time all over again. Every single year for the last 25 or so our family makes it a point to go see a Broadway show before the stress of the holidays kicks in. My very first show was Cats and I’ll never forget that day. I’ll never forget the stage, the music, or that feeling of euphoria that lasted for well over a week.
This year we will be going to see Finian’s Rainbow thanks to Season of Savings.
Finian’s Rainbow is the story of Irishman Finian McLonergan, and his daughter Sharon who arrive in the small Southern town of Rainbow Valley in the mythical state of Missitucky, with plans to bury a stolen pot of gold in the shadows of Fort Knox, in the mistaken belief it will grow and multiply. They have been followed from Ireland by the owner of the gold, a leprechaun, who shows up determined to recover his treasure.
Season of Savings is “Broadway’s twice-annual special edition Playbill, featuring great discounts and deals for numerous Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, hotels and other New York City attractions.” Normally, this “unofficial guide to Times Square” is distributed twice a year as a booklet included in local NY newspapers, but for the first year ever, Season of Savings is extending their Broadway show discounts to Internet users with the launch of their website. Savings of up to 60% off will be found for the following shows:

Redeeming your coupons could not be any easier. You simply log on to www.seasonofsavings.com, choose your preference, and click on the listing. Your savings coupon will pop up, which you can then either print out and call to order your tickets or be directed straight to the website where the coupon is redeemable. The secure sites include Ticketmaster, Disney, Broadway Offers and more. Since you are dealing directly with major ticket distributors, you can choose your show date and time, which is perfect for those planning on traveling into NYC in the future.
