Rock the Tote Diaper Bag from Baby Star

I haven’t carried an actual diaper bag in about a year now. It seems that ever since my daughter hit the toddler stage all the styles available have either been too “babyish” such as being clad with cartoon characters and soft pastel colors or they have too many pockets and gadgets that I don’t need anymore. My daughter will be three in February so while, yes, I still need to bring diapers and wipes with me, I no longer need the multiple hideaways for bottles, toys, pacifiers, and all those other doodads that babies travel with.

It definitely has the space for everything I mentioned above, but the inner pockets are not the bags main attraction like you find with other diaper bags. Case in point – I used it to tote my mini notebook around to a photo shoot last week and still had room for all my daughters stuff. No one would have ever guessed that it was actually a diaper bag and not just a cute accessory. So not only does it accommodate my travel needs, but this bag looks hawt!

Another bonus -  The diaper bags from Baby Star are made from a BPA-free laminate that make cleaning them a breeze. Not only are they super easy to wipe down (although, the fabric is so water-resistant that nothing seems to stick to it anyway) but they are also machine washable. And since we’re on the subject of cleanliness, let me mention that it comes with a coordinating changing pad made from the same fabric as the bag. It’s tough, not your typical flimsy material that will slip and slide on a restroom changing table and again, it wipes clean, no stinky messes here.

Pros:

• The Baby Star diaper bags are roomy, 18″ x 15″ to be exact. They are the perfect size for carrying all your baby gear plus some. You can definitely fit all your modern mommy gadgets such as laptops, cell phones, Kindles and so-on. The interior pockets are large as well. Not only can you store baby bottles and bibs, but the pockets are also great for your wallet, keys, make-up bags and more. One side contains a large (almost the size of the entire bag) zippered pocket and the opposite side has two smaller pockets.
• Easily accessible. The tote bags have a small magnetic closure at the top that make reaching in to grab something an easy task. The opening of the bag is 15″ long so there is no fussing with trying to wedge the baby wipe case out when you need them ASAP. Been there, done that. Oh, and did I mention that they come with a matching BPA free wipe case?
• Plenty of style. The Baby Star “Rock the Tote” collection comes in 11 different color options including fashionable, solid metallics and modern, versatile prints. The “tote” design adds to the style factor as well. Unlike other bags that clearly look like diaper bags, these totes can be used even when your baby isn’t with you and no one would know the difference.
• Safe for your baby and the environment. The print totes are made with a BPA-FREE laminate and the metallic bags are made with a polyurethane exterior. All products from Baby Star are FORMALDEHYDE-FREE and AZO-FREE.

Cons:

• Missing link. I know this is petty, but the one feature I like to have in my diaper bags that this bag doesn’t have is an interior hook. I am a master at thinking I lost my keys, especially in bags as large as this one. If they could add a small carabiner type of hook to keep your keys in place, that would be perfect.
