If you’re anything like my husband and can sleep through a 3-alarm fire, then I think I’ve found the perfect solution for you. Meet Clocky, a fun new gadget from Nanda Home. The Clocky is basically an alarm clock on wheels. Why the wheels? Well, Clocky was designed to help those who have a hard time getting up in the morning, with a little humor. After the alarm goes off (just as any alarm clock works), the Clocky will leap off of your nightstand (up to 3′) and wheel around your room, all while the alarm continues to sound. The only way to quiet the alarm is to get up out of bed, find Clocky and shut it off manually. By this point, you might as well stay out of bed, mission accomplished. If you prefer, you can set Clocky to allow up to two snooze-button slams prior to making the leap.
The Clocky is available in five different colors and has a very modern, yet geeky appeal. The standard Clocky will run you a cool $39 and the special edition “Chrome” Clocky jumps up to $45. In my opinion, either investment is a good one, especially if you have teenagers in the house that are prone to OD’ing on the snooze button.
