Corolle Baby Dolls & Accessories

One of my most vivid memories as a kid was going to Toys ‘R Us and getting to pick out my very first baby doll. At the time, Cabbage Patch Dolls were the “it” dolls, they came with the little birth certificates and a bio about your new baby. Mine was named Petunia and boy did I love that little girl, lol. I remember my great-grandmother knitting me a few outfits for Petunia, but as far as accessories, they were limited. I don’t recall having strollers, bathing centers, feeding sets, etc. All I had was a doll with an ivory colored sweater to brag about.
Today, buying a baby doll is almost as stressful as going through an adoption process. Girls get to choose a dolls ethnic background, hair and eye color, size, weight, and more. Dude, I wouldn’t be surprised if coordinating your child’s DNA with a doll was an option in the near future. We were lucky to have dolls that had “open and close” eyes that both worked in sync, let alone a doll that looked just like us! With all the new lifelike dolls available on the market, how do you choose the one that is perfect for your child? You want to spend your money wisely so that the doll will provide years of playtime, right? I suggest checking out Corolle, a french doll company that has worked for years to develop the perfect doll for a wide range of ages.
While I was at the Time to Play Holiday Toy Showcase a couple of weeks ago, my daughter kept showing lots of interest in the Corolle table. She must have played for a good thirty minutes before I had to literally pry her away so I can visit the other tables at the show. The Corolle rep that was at the event saw how much my daughter enjoyed playing with the dolls and offered to send her one for the holidays. You can’t imagine how happy that made me being that funds are particularly tight this year and Christmas wasn’t looking as bright as usual for us.

I’m trying to hold off on opening the boxes because I really want to save the Corolle products as a Christmas gift. I know, it’s a little weird to give my daughter something I was given for free, but these dolls are just too precious to ruin the surprise. I’d like to think of it as the Corolle rep playing Santa this year.
I was sent the Bebe Charmeur Gift Set along with the Corolle Umbrella Stroller accessory. The doll gift set comes with a lifelike, lightly vanilla scented 14″ doll, a carry bassinet, a blanket, a pacifier, a bottle, a bib, two plates and a spoon. The set retails for $89.95 and is available at www.corolle.com
The stroller, which folds up, has an adorable red/pink floral print pattern, can fit dolls up to 17″ and is the perfect height for toddlers and little girls. This particular stroller retails for $29.95 but there are other styles, colors and price points available. One of my favorites, which is on my wishlist for next Christmas is the Navy & Pink Carriage, it’s a bit pricier, but it will be perfect for when my daughter is a little older next year.

That’s it! It’s a must have, neeeeeeeeed it for Miss Pea. She loves her babies…and these babies are so lovely!
Oh, she will love them. I see them as kind of an American Doll with a lot more thought put into them. They are so realistic and sweet, exactly how baby dolls are supposed to be. They’ll definitely remain in your family for a while, it could be something that gets passed down for generations. I sound corny, right? But it’s so true, lol.
We had Corolle dolls! I had a big one (like, a toddler doll) and my sister had a baby Corolle doll. I was always jealous of her baby doll because it was SO cute. But the toddler one was cute!
