Sugar & spice and everything nice…
It’s been 70 years since the little French girl Madeline has arrived, managing to warm the hearts of little boys and girls everywhere along the way. To celebrate her anniversary, Kids Preferred has introduced a lovable line of kid-friendly plush dolls including the 13.5″ Madeline doll you see above. Madeline is ready for the celebration donned in her prettiest blue party dress with a coordinating hair bow and she arrives in an adorable see-through box with a pink rope handle, making the 70th Anniversary Madeline Doll a great choice for the holidays.
Beneath the lace and ruffles, you’ll find the reason why Madeline needs some extra T.L.C…
To go along with the original Madeline storybook in which Madeline needs an emergency appendix removal, the doll comes complete with a scar stitched on her belly. The book, which starts off in an old house in Paris “covered in vines” with 12 little girls “in two straight lines”, tells the tale of a brave little Madeline and her trip to the hospital. This is when Madeline first became a heroine in many little girls eyes with her take of true bravery.
The 70th Anniversary Madeline plush ($25) and hardcover book ($18) are available at La Petite Tica and other boutique toy shops worldwide. For smaller tots, be sure to check out the 9″ Madeline beanie!

Love Madeline! I’m putting this doll on Pea’s Christmas list, already have the books!
