Yes, I’m late on the trends once again, but I’m a mom, I don’t get out much. However, I did get out tonight and got to hang with my fashionista BFF, Rosie, at the Olympic paint event and she schooled me, once again, on what’s hot and what’s not. I present to you (by way of my fashionable friend), Shuella!

Have you guessed what they are yet? They are umbrellas for your shoes…Shu-ella…get it? Are these not the best things ever? I need to buy a few pairs like yesterday as it’s been raining like mad here in NY. Keep a pair of Shuella’s in your car or tote and you’ll never ruin a pair of shoes again! You can wear Shuella’s with a heeled shoe of any height, just slip them on and you’re good to go. Kind of like a big condom for your Manolos, which as a mom of a 2-year old, I can tell you how important condoms are, only in this case they are saving you around $350 and not a lifetime of whining and vomiting.

So, back to the subject.

The Shuellas were designed by Rebecca Miller, who was fed up with not having a fashionable footwear option when the weather wasn’t on her side. Well, thanks to Mother Nature not behaving, we’re all blessed with this fabulous find, which also happens to be featured in the November issue of “O” magazine.
