Congratulations to Lauralee Hensley, comment #54

Last week I told you all about why I love the Open It! from Zibra. This week I want to tell you all about why you’ll love it and if you get the sudden urge to go buy one for yourself mid-post, let me start by announcing that the all NEW 5-in-1 Open It! is available as of today in Bed, Bath & Beyond locations nationwide.
I’m guessing that many of you reading this are bloggers and as bloggers we get the opportunity to form very close relationships with delivery men. Am I right? I don’t think a day has passed in the last year that “Red” doesn’t ring my bell and drop off a package. Do you see where I’m going with this? Packages, which come with more packages inside are annoying. But with the NEW 5-in-1 Open It! packages all over the world will be welcomed with open arms and non-blistered fingers. Even if you’re not a blogger, I’m sure you’re aware of how inconvenient removing items from their packaging can be, especially around the holidays when a plethora of new toys make their way into your home.
The NEW 5-in-1 Open It! is a multi-tool that is here to offer a solution for Wrap Rage Season. This is the time of year when an excess amount of packages (along with their child-proof and anti-theft precautionary measures) enter your life. I’m talking about DVD’s, CD’s, boxes, clamshell packaging, twist ties, packing tape and so on. All these deterrents lead to one thing…broken nails, blisters, cuts and scrapes. Come on, don’t tell me you never hurt yourself trying to open a pack of batteries or nearly broken a toy trying to outsmart the metal twist ties. Well hurt no more ladies! If you or someone you know is showing signs of Wrap Rage, please seek help immediately at www.wrapragecure.com
Open It! Features:
- Snip It – Easily snip away zip and twist ties, cut through tough plastic and clamshell packaging with the durable alloy steel jaws which can double as a standard scissor.
- Cut It – Soar through sealed plastic packages, cardboard (great for recycling night!) and heavy wrapping paper with the steel jaws used in scissor locking mode.
- Pop It – The new bottle opener features lets you pop open bottle caps with ease.
- Unscrew It – The improved removable double ended screwdriver is there to help you open toy battery compartment, tighten loose screws and put together that fancy new play kitchen that Grandma bought.
- Slice It – The retractable razor with the new safety cap will help you slice through packing tape, open CD’s and DVD’s and more.
So have I convinced you yet that you do in fact need the Open It?
Buy It! The NEW Open It! is available nationwide at Bed, Bath & Beyond and Home Depot locations for only $9.99 and online at www.enjoyzibra.com

The box that my couponizer came in was impossible to open!

I hate those hard plastic wraps. I always end up slicing my finger somehow. The last thing that I opened was a curling iron. Thank you for this handy tool giveaway.

It was a Transformers blaster. Layers of cardboard, tape, and twist ties. Like maximum security. Really, are people stealthily shoplifting these loud, large plastic toys?
It was a new remote control car in a hotel room.
cds, i always have the worst time opening cds
I bought a doll from japan and had the hardest time removing it from the packaging I sure could have used the 5 in 1 opener. Thanks for the great giveaway.Helen
Just today I tried to open a package for a camera memory card!

I purchased a pair of scissors (nice sharp ones)…I could have used the scissors INSIDE the plastic packaging in order to get to the SCISSORS i bought!
batteries!
I purchased a set of beads, for my jewelry making. Well I swear they had this thing sealed up so tight and thick it was ridiculous!
I recently tried to open a camping adventure toy set for my son. It took what seemed an infinate amount of time to open it.

The last annoying hard plastic wrapper I opened was on a set of energy efficient light bulbs – you have to be careful when opening them. This tool would be so great to have!
Too many to list!! I would have to agree, baby doll boxes are AWFUL to try to open!
Got your button!
The last thing I opened where I could have used this tool was my new Seal cd.

If you can believe it is was to get to a pair of scissors. I thought I was going to rip open my hand before I could get to the scissors.
All the toys held down by those thick plastic ties! Ack!
bebemiqui82(at)yahoo(dot)com
The last thing I opened that I really could of used the tool is the package my webcam came in.
I could have really used this to open a DVD last week!
Actually it was a resealable cheese package, it is suppose to tear open the first time along a tear line, but it wouldn’t! Hubby is asking me what’s taking so long, so I gave it to him and he couldn’t even get it opened. I used a knife on the package finally, but then I couldn’t use the resealable part anymore because the knife caught part of that.
I’m subscribed via email. Good luck to all.

I bought my granddaughter a doll which took two of us to open and several tools-unbelievable!

The last thing that made me go “Arrrrgggghhhhh!!!” was a moving carton that had been packed by the moving company. It had tape over tape over sideways tape and by the time it was open it looked as if a tiger had attacked it. These little clippies would have been so nice to have!
A Wii remote control. I don’t understand why gadgets always come packaged so… meanly.
I would have like to have these when opening toys with that hard plastic.
new dvds and blu rays are always a pain for me and the last thing I struggled with too!

I hate opening battery packs and children’s toys wrapped in plastic – the Open it would be great to have at Christmas
The packaging for a GPS that I won. It was so well protected that I ended up truly destroying it to get it open!
Those sealed plastic packages drive me crazy. You try to open them by hand and risk slitting yourself. This looks great and I’d love to try it! Thank you!
I opened some headphones, and that took about 30 minutes.

A plastic cell phone package! Yikes, what a chore.
Any of my kids toys are a nightmare to get open. The worst was Bak-u-gan stuff.
A tool kit my son received for his birthday. What a pain the plastic ties were in that thing.
Batteries in a hard plastic pack at work — they only ship them in 12 or 18 packs, so they are kinda heavy to boot! This opener would be great to have around.

It was a DVD package that had me nearly tearing my hair out! Why…why do they make it so difficult? This tool would have come in very handy.

Batteries are the worst as the packaging is so difficult to open.
I accidentally ripped my laptop’s power cable in half, so I was already upset. I finally found a universal cord, sealed in one of those impenetrable plastic containers. I’d heard that can openers worked for this sort of package, but mine absolutely didn’t help. It took me 15 minutes with the kitchen scissors to finally get into the package!

Ironically enough, it was a package of garden clippers.

I couldn’t open a jar of salsa. I really had the urge to throw it.

I could have used it to open batteries a few days ago!
I also voted.
For me, the worst offenders are always CDs; the sticky strip long the top is impossible to take off.
Oh I totally need this! I just opened a few kitchen utensils that were in those super hard to open packages and I cut myself. Thank you for the lovely giveaway.

Erin

a remote control car!
I had so much trouble last week opening a plastic package that had a memory card. The card was so tiny but I couldn’t get to it! It was painful.
I recently bought a TV remote in a clamshell package. I HATE THOSE THINGS! My regular cheap scissors couldn’t cut through it and I was NOT going to use my expensive fabric shears. I could so use an Open-It.
DH & I had to pick up a load of lumber for a jobsite and bought new tiedowns, which had over 30 plastic ties on it. We ended up having to go back Into the store and buying a razor knife to cut through them all so we could get home. Grrrr
For opening a package, cutting those wire thingmabobs that were holding a doll in-grrr

I could use this whenever I open a kids’ toy that’s in a box. What’s with all the wires and plastic fasteners?!
I opened a toy for my son and it took 20 minutes to get it out of the packaging.

Those plastic packages that sooo many things come packaged in. Especially small electronics and cables. I always cut myself on the plastic!
My son’s toy truck pacage was hard to open, I even cut my finger on the plastic.
It was an E-Z Comb package! I nearly broke it trying to get the package open.
Try opening a Barbie doll sometime. Every single accessory is twist tied and taped through cardboard. What a pain! That and anything encased in plastic.
Right now I am trying to open a package of printer ink. It’s a double pack with both color and black ink. I broke a pair of scissors and am dowm to looking around to see what I can find to wrestle those 2 cartiridges out of the plastic. I just know they are laughing at me as I try to get them out.
Kids toys are the worst. With little kids by the time you get all the ties, tape and what ever else they use off the toy the kids just aren’t interested anymore.

It was a package for a padlock and it really gave me a hard time.
I get your updates at k_rock36 at yahoo dot com.
A new laptop cord and then I had to try to REPACKAGE it because it didn’t fit. (uummm…yes, my kids did learn some new words that day, so that is why my household could benefit from this product.)
I wish I had this anytime I had to open a new toy. THank you
Most often it’s battery packaging, but the latest ‘challenge’ was the Frontline flea solution for our pets – they take child-proofing to an adult+ level!
CD’s are horrible to open, probably one of the reasons they are becoming obsolete, thanks!
I could’ve used this to open a package I got that was covered with tape!
Definitely the bottle opener, I tried to open one recently and it was a pain in the butt!!
OMG almost anything that says child proof, like medicine bottles. They are adult proof too!
A cat toy that was covered in plastic – oh I could use these every day!
jessicaannewilde at gmail.com
The last PS3 game that my son got. It is wrapped up like fort knox!!!! Getting it open is adult work for sure and even then very frustrating

I always have issues when I open toys or gadgets that come sealed in hard plastic. Sometimes I end up cutting myself and losing all kinds of control! Grrrrr!
My daughters new DVD
A DVD. I hate opening those things.

One of those packages with the brown tape that has all the really tough strips of string going all the way through it.
