FASHION FRIDAY – Holiday Maternity Fashion

So with all the options for holiday attire, if you are pregnant, it can be so challenging. I can remember when I was pregnant with my first child, I had the worst time finding an outfit for my company holiday party. Everything was either really ugly or shaped (and sized) like a tent! I think I ended up in a really cute pant suit, but it wasn’t the fabulous dress that I was hoping for.
Since then, designers have taken a turn to make “the mamas” as fashion forward as the women they once were. (thank, gooodness!)
So if you are pregnant, take note of these really hot looks for Holiday 2009…
EMBELLISHED
A little bling always makes a woman feel pretty, and when it is already included in your clothing, it works great when those prego brain cells forget your jewelry…
ON LEFT: Japanese Weekend Dress ($128.00) ON RIGHT: Maternal America Beaded Dress ($116.00)
COCKTAIL
Whether you’re a glamour girl or a lavish lady, there are options for you both. But of these, I would totally rock the purple mini!
ON LEFT: Hot Mama Mini Dress ($198.00) ON RIGHT: Audrey Maternity Gown ($299.00)
LONG FORMAL
If you need a longer or more formal dress, there are those out there, too. (Man, if I had only had kids LATER!!!) But if you are gonna rock one of these, I would suggest staying with a more fitted dress in a solid color. Anything else and you will look like you wrapped yourself in a table cloth…
ON LEFT: The Maxi Wrap ($349.00) ON RIGHT: Nicole Michelle Strapless ($298.00)
AFFORDABLE
So, if you are like me, some of these other options may be out of your price range. But don’t worry! There are tons of affordable choices, too! To get the most for your money, I suggest staying with a timeless piece. Solid colors with classic styles work great with your favorite accessories. There are also affordable trendy styles, too, that give you more of an edge. But be careful with these since styles change yearly, you may not like this same dress after child #2 or 3 (or more…lol).
ON LEFT: Long Sleeve Babydoll ($29.98) ON RIGHT: Jane Maternity Dress ($54.40)
So no matter what your style or budget, be glad you are pregnant this year! There are so many options to stay with the current fashion trends and still be yourself without conforming to the “tents of the past”. Let us know YOUR favorite styles in maternity and which dresses you intend to rock this year.
Happy Holidays and Happy Pregnancy to you, our Posh & Prego friends!

I really love all of those dresses, I just wish I could afford every single one of them! Great Post!
