Lifefactory, a company with an Eco-Friendly mindset, has addressed the very important issue concerning chemical leaching from plastic baby bottles by bringing back the traditional glass baby bottle with a twist. Not only are Lifefactory’s glass baby bottles absolutely beautiful, but they’re smart too! If you notice that these particular baby bottles are wrapped by a colorful silicone sleeve preventing bottle breakage and allowing your child to have a firm grip during feeding. This idea is genius in my opinion, and here’s why… As any mom would agree with me here, children love to toss around their bottles which is why sometimes the glass baby bottle alternative is usually not an option. The bottle and sleeve can be boiled or put in the dishwasher together or can also go in the freezer, making breast milk storage a simple task.
Lifefactory bottles are:
- Bisphenol-A (BPA), phthalate, and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) free
- Silicone sleeve is non-toxic and free of plastics
- Silicone nipple is non-toxic and latex-free
- Plastic ring, plug and cap are FDA approved

Another great option for parents concerned about the chemicals in plastics are to offer their children the Lifefactory “Multi-Sensory Silicone Teether”, which are also BPA, phthalate, PVC, and latex free. These adorable and multi-functional teethers offer various textures that are necessary for sensory exploration and can be worn as a bracelet by Mama to keep it close for those times when your child gets fussy or has teething pain. In all honesty, my daughter has been chewing on this teether constantly since we received it just a few days ago. Success!
