Fashion & Function? For sure! I just received my new Sorel Helen of Tundra winter boots and although we haven’t seen a drop of snow yet, I am READY for it. I’ve actually been doing my “snow dance” every night (in the boots of course) in the hopes that the weather gods hear me. Either that or they get so sick of seeing me doing my dance that they just grace us with a light dusting for a day or two.

My main concern when it comes to picking out boots is the fit. Being that I have fairly large calves, I usually have a hard time finding a high boot that feels comfortable or even fit for that matter. Generally, my options are limited to boots that fall below the calf or that lace-up so I can adjust the width. Good news! The Sorel Helen of Tundra boots fit perfectly! I was even able to wear them over a pair of leggings which I’ve never been able to do. So whether you like to rock your boots with your jeans in or out, you can achieve the look with Sorel.
As far as sizing, the Sorel boots run very true to size. I requested a size 8, they fit perfectly and there is definitely enough room for when the cold-weather kicks in and my socks become bulkier and bulkier. I honestly couldn’t be more pleased. I don’t think I could have picked out a more perfect-fitting pair of boots if I shopped all day.

I like the 1964 Reserve boot for women and I would keep them as I need them badly.
A boot that has made a comeback and that is quintessentially Canadian, while the original Sorel Caribou is still a dependable classic, it has been given a bit of a fashion makeover with the Sorel Joan of Arctic boot. They are as smart on urban streets as they are warm in a deep snowpack.

The closest place where I can find these shoes is at Bass Pro Shops

I like the Flurry youth boot. Our toddler currently has boots with velcro near the top of the leg and it just make so much more sense to me that placing it lower would give a more snug fit.

LOL – every time a blog wants to know where my closest dealer is for something, the answer is ALWAYS Whole Foods, and I’ve never seen the thing there before. So this time, I KNEW it wasn’t going to be there because Whole Foods doesn’t sell boots. So where is the closest one?
