Accessories…The Cure for the LBD!

So I have been searching for weeks now for the perfect dress to wear to my husband’s corporate Christmas Party. I always want to try something new, but after having kids, I always resort to my favorite LBD (little black dress). It is fab and forgiving all at the same time, so I love wearing it. BUT, what I don’t like is seeing myself year after year in pictures always wearing the same thing. Sad, right? Well, this year, since I’ve found a couple of new dresses, but they, too, are black (or course), I’ve decided to break it up with some fantastic accessories.
Here’s a few I’m considering, that I found at www.macys.com, if you are looking for something to brighten up your own LBD.
Black
I probably have 15 pairs of black shoes in my closet, but NONE this fabulous or that match these gorgeous bags. And let’s face it, black is super classy.
Red
The color of the holidays, you can never go wrong adding red to your black for a classic yet fun look.
Metallic
Okay, I don’t care who you are. Adding metallic accessories to your LBD is the best way to show off your fashion sense and be sure to get noticed.
Patent
If you aren’t one for metallics but still love shiny, then patent accessories are for you… (and who doesn’t love SHINY?!)
Fun & Funky
These are probably my favorite. I’m not getting any younger, but you wouldn’t know it by looking at any of these FANTASTIC accessories!
So I’ve decided not to worry about resorting to yet another little black dress, all I have to do this year is have fun with the accessories. What do you plan to wear to your holiday parties this year?

Oh… all the shoes are sooo pretty! I love this time of year, for so many reasons, like dressing up in pretty dresses and fancy shoes!

I know, right? I think I’ve made it harder on myself than easier. I want to wear them ALL!
I love all the options! But I think the metallic one is my favorite. That or a punch of color – though I would go more for purple than red, I am a purple addict
I went shopping for a dress this past weekend and actually found a purple dress to wear, so I will be wearing black accessories rather than a black dress. But I still wish I had all these accessories in my closet!
