For Girls: Be a Friend with Corolle Dolls

Every mother of a little girl knows that eventually a doll will be on her daughter’s Christmas List. Whether it be a Barbie or a G.I. Joe, dolls are essential to growing up with a decent imagination. My first doll that I remember was named Melanie Ivy. I took her EVERYWHERE! To grandma’s, to the store, in the bath, you know, everywhere a little girl needs a friend.  I came up with so much for us to do, too. Picnics, imaginary doctor’s appointments, parties.  I think we even had “boyfriends” too. (of course, only the kind we could bring home to daddy).

Knowing that Ema is at the perfect age (six) where I know that she can take better care of higher quality dolls that offer more features such as changeable outfits and shoes, I wanted to find her one that she could create tons of memories with and then be able to put away to share with her own children.  Ironically, we took the kids to see Santa Claus last Saturday and the ONLY thing that Ema asked for was a doll that looked like her.  So I was SO glad that I had been asked to review a set of dolls from the 2009 Corolle Collections.
